The Body & The Balloon
2:51

The Body & The Balloon takes place in a narrow corridor. Surrounded by concrete walls and two large air vents, a body and balloon are confined to the interior space. The transparent balloon hovers over a large vent - shifting, swirling, dancing upon the surface tethered by an invisible force. This movement informs the response of the body. The weight of the body is prominent, solid, and heavy. This counters the weightlessness of the balloon. As the body moves it displaces the air affecting the movement of the balloon, and as the balloon moves it displaces the air affecting the movement of the body. This deep concentration of movement is a conversation - a dialogue between the two.
